JOHN ROGERT DEATH VICTIM JANUARY 13

John Edward Rogert, son of John and Wilhelmina Rogert, was born June 7th, 1880 in Germany. He came to the United States with his parents at the age of four years.

Some years later he moved to Herman, Nebraska where he was united in marriage to Dora Schroeder of Herman, Nebraska in November, 1901. To them two daughters were born - Stella and Anita. His wife, Dora and daughter, Anita, passed away October 19th, 1915.

He was married to Lydia Kreuger of Omaha, Nebraska in April, 1920. To this union were born two sons - John Edward, Jr. and Allen Dee - and a daughter, Doris Evelyn.

Mr. Rogert lived in the vicinity of Herman, Nebraska until moving with his family to Colorado in 1932. Later he moved to Denver, Colorado where he passed away at his home on January 13th, 1944 of a sudden heart attack. He was 63 years, 6 months and 6 days old at his death.

Surviving his death are his widow, Lydia, daughters Stella of Los Angeles, California; Doris at home; sons John Jr. and Allen of the U. S. Navy; one grandson, Gene Jensen of Los Angeles, California; one sister, Amanda Anderson of Omaha; four brothers, Charles and Herman of Blair; August of Albert Lea, Minnesota; and Fred of Los Angeles, California; ten nieces and six nephews.

Funeral services are held at the Bendorf Parlors Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., Rev. John P. Brooks officiating. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
