WILLIAM ATHAN BURIED WEDNESDAY

William Athan, an old settler in this county, passed away on January 9. He had been ailing for some weeks, having been the victim of an accident from which he could not rally.

He was born in Indiana, and at his death was past eighty seven years of age. One brother, Olin of Pipestone, Minnesota, now seventy seven years of age, survives him.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Campbell Mortuary, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
