CELIA JACKSON RITES TUESDAY

Miss Celia Jackson, sister of the late Nels Jackson of Herman, passed away last Saturday evening, November 20th at the Masonic Home in Plattsmouth where she had been a guest for several years.

Deceased was born in Christiansted, Sweden, February 22, 1858, and was at her death 85 years, 8 months and 28 days old. She was well known around Herman where she at one time made her home.

She was the last of her family to go, being preceded by a family of six brothers. She was a woman of rare talents, a great reader and enjoyed life to its fullest.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home last Tuesday morning at ten o’clock with Rev. D. D. Kennedy, pastor of the local Baptist church officiating, and interment was made in the Herman cemetery.
