CALHOUN FARMER DIES OF INJURIES IN SHELLER MISHAP

Was Injured In Corn Sheller Saturday. Treatment Proved Futile

Paul Petersen, who lived between Bennington and Irvington, passed away at the age of 43 on Thursday, November 18th, at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha as the result of an accident in which he caught his upper arm in a corn sheller. The accident occurred Saturday at the Allison farm on which he and his family were living at the time. He was immediately rushed to the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, but treatment there proved futile.

Funeral services were held on Monday at Bennington with Rev. S. W. Churchill officiating, interment was made in the German cemetery. The survivors are his wife, Leona, two sons, Floyd and Virgil; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Peterson of Bennington; his brothers, Ruben of Bennington; Nick, Elmer, Earl and William of Omaha; Clarence of Los Angeles, P.F.C. Ralph of Camp Gruber, Oklahoma; and Clifford of San Bernadino and his sisters: Mesdames Emil Hladik of Omaha; Andrew Hansen of Omaha; and Paul Hansen of Bennington.
