MARY K. JOHNSON DIED WED. MORNING

Mary Kristine Johnson was born in Denmark on March 21, 1859, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lester Hansen, at 2 a.m. Wednesday, after being in failing health since last July.

She came to America when a young woman and settled in Clifton, Ill. where she was married to William Johnson in 1893. Four children were born to them, two dying in infancy. In 1899 they moved to Omaha and later to Blair where they engaged in farming until the husband’s death in 1919. Later years she has lived in Blair, the last three being spent with Miss Anna Barton on West Park St.

She leaves to mourn her death one daughter, Mrs. Lester Hansen of north of Blair and a son, Harold Johnson, of Herman and four grandchildren. Besides these of the immediate family, she leaves a sister and four brothers in Clifton, Illinois.

She was active in church work as long as her health would permit and participated in the work of the Ladies Aid of that church.

Funeral services will be held Friday at the First Lutheran Church with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.
