HERMAN KEMPER PASSES AWAY

Herman Kemper died very suddenly at 9:30 Wednesday morning while walking to town from his home. He was seized with a heart attack when in front of the Schroeder garage and died instantly.

Herman Kemper was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kemper. He was born June 11, 1865 at Fort Madison, Iowa. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Gruemeyer of Wayne. Two brothers, Ben and Joseph, preceded him in death. He grew to manhood in Gretna, farmed at Wakefield, Nebraska, spent some years fishing near Tekamah and Lake Manawa, and in the spring of 1934 moved to Calhoun and bought the Peter Huff property in the north part of town. Here he made many friends, all of who will greatly miss him.

Rev. F. W. Most of Omaha was in charge of the services held at the home Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock, and burial was made in the Fort Calhoun cemetery.
