C. C. CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL RITES

Funeral services for Charles C. Cunningham, who died at his home in Arlington following a short illness, were held at the Methodist Church at Arlington with Rev. David Simpson officiating.

Mr. Cunningham was born at Florence, Nebraska on October 13, 1867. He married Ethel L. Robertson of Blair in October, 1888. The couple would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary October 10th.

Mr. Cunningham, a retired farmer and stock raiser, moved to Arlington from his farm east of town in 1936. He was known as a gentle unassuming man of good character and reputation.

Surviving him, besides his widow, are three children, Ellis of Arlington, William of Fontanelle and Mrs. Marine Softley of Vancouver, Washington. Another daughter, Mrs. Donna Cederlind preceded him in death some two years ago. There are also thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Emma Jensen, resides at Blair.

Burial was made in the Kennard cemetery with Reckmeyer & Son in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Henry Peters, Elmer Wright, Peter Rasmussen, Jens Christensen, Jap Rosenbaum and Clair Nonnamaker.

The beautiful songs were sung by Mrs. Pauline Anderson and Miss Lucy Lawson, assisted at the piano by Miss Patricia Winner.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mrs. Marine Softley and son, Donald, of Vancouver, Washington; Mrs. Jessie Tallman of Elk City; Stuart Tallman of Omaha; Mrs. Emma Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Longwell, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Fairchild, all of Blair; Mrs. George Fairchild, Mrs. George Robertson and Miss Myrna Cunningham, all of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Peterson of Kennard; Pfc. Enice Cunningham of Camp Pickett, Virginia; and Mrs. Bess Meadows of Fremont.
