MRS. EMMA WILLISON RITES LAST FRIDAY

Clara Emma Trowbridge was born in Johnson county, Iowa, November 19, 1869, and passed away at Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday, September 1, 1943, after a few weeks’ illness of heart trouble.

She was married to William Willison at Blair, Nebraska on April 7, 1897, and to this union were born six children. She spent all her married life in Washington county, and the past seven years in Arlington.

Preceding her in death are her husband who died May 31, 1926; Harvey, who passed away in 1922 at the age of 18 years and Violet, 1 1/2 years who died in 1901.

She is survived by two daughters, Myrtle Keeler of Fullerton, Mo., and Hazel Brown of Omaha; two sons, Herbert at home and Tom of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. May Emmons and Mrs. Nora Ellison and one brother, Sam Trowbridge, all of Carbon, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist church with Rev. David Simpson in charge. A quartet composed of Rev. and Mrs. David Simpson, Mrs. Otto Renard and Therlo Reckmeyer sang “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere”, “Rock of Ages” and “Abide With Me”.

Pallbearers were Joe Snyder, Walter Brown, Richard Wieser, Ross Beaty, Henry Frye and Henry Hall.
