Former Dana Professor Died At Tacoma, Wash.

Carl S. Fynboe, Tacoma, Washington, former Dana College faculty member, died at Tacoma on Tuesday, April 19. Funeral services were held at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Tacoma.

Mr. Fynboe is survived by his wife, Adelaide; one son, Carl T., principal of Clover Park High School; daughter, Mrs. Edward Hanson (Elizabeth) of Port Townsend, eight grandchildren and three sisters.

Mr. Fynboe was born May 11, 1898, at Lemvig, Denmark. He served eighteen months in the King’s private bodyguard and served as private ordinance to King Christian X for four months. Graduating from Luther College at Decorah, Ia., in 1927, he taught at Dana College for seven years.

From 1938 to 1944 he served as financial field secretary for Pacific Lutheran College at Tacoma and was a field representative for Investors Diversified Services for twenty-five years.
