MRS. ADAM RODEL DIES AT 84

Mrs. Adam Rodell, aged 84, died Thursday, April 15, at the East Grant Street residence which had been her home for nearly fifty years. Funeral services were held at Campbell Mortuary on Saturday afternoon with Rev. John P. Brooks officiating, and burial was made in Blair cemetery.

Katherine Lage Rodel was born in Germany in 1859, coming to America and settling in Washington County when she was a girl 14 years old. In her youth she united with Trinity Lutheran Church. This county had been her home for 70 years, and she had lived in the same house in Blair for 49 years. Her husband, Adam Rodel, died in 1931. For the past several years her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Rodel, have made their home with her.

Three children survive: Mitchell of Blair; Adam of Warsaw, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Wilhelmina Bates of Kennard; also five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Eggert Oft of Bennington; and a brother, William Lage of Elliott, Iowa.
