SERVICES FOR GLADYS JACKSON WERE AT HERMAN

Services for 84-year-old Gladys M. Jackson were held on Monday, January 25th, 1982, at Herman, Nebraska in the Herman Methodist Church. Mrs. Jackson died Friday, January 22, 1982 at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Herman, Nebraska on January 7, 1898. On February 14, 1917 she was married to John Jackson in Blair, Nebraska. She had been a homemaker most of her life in Herman. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hovendick. She attended the Vacoma, Hillcreek and New England Schools. She was a member of the Herman Eastern Star Chapter No. 216. Eastern Star services were held at 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Campbell Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband John of Herman, two children, seven grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. The daughters are Mrs. Eugene (Gracie) Husk of Herman and Mrs. Merle (Marjorie) Border of Evansville, Minnesota.

Brothers and sisters are Fred Hovendick, Herman; Ivan Hovendick, Fremont; Mrs. Bessie Magill, Blair; Mrs. Floyd (Grace) Magill, Tekamah. One brother, Louie, preceded her in death.

Rev. Barbara Schenkel officiated at the Monday services with Campbell Fuenral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were: Larry Goldsberry, Roland Hovendick, Cameron Jackson, Donald Magill, Merlin Magill and Orville Magill. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.
