MRS. JULIUS SIERCKS SERVICES HELD

Mrs. Julius Siercks, Jr. of Fremont, formerly of Arlington, died Sunday evening after having been seriously ill for five months. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Salem Lutheran church of Fremont, Dr. A. O. Franke officiating, and burial was made in Memorial Park cemetery.

Born July 4, 1868 in Warden, Germany, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Meyborg, Mrs. Siercks was educated in the schools of Warden and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1881. She was married July 3, 1886, and came to this country in August of 1902, together with Mr. Siercks and seven children. They resided on a farm near Hooper, later moving near Arlington. In September of 1920 they moved to Fremont. Mr. and Mrs. Siercks celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on July 3, 1936.

Surviving besides the husband are six sons, Ernest and George of Long Beach, California; Otto of Chicago; Leo, Willie and Julius of Fremont; and two daughters, Mrs. Emma Parade of Chicago and Mrs. Hilda Reker of Fremont. Willie and Julius are twins. Sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive, as do three sisters and a brother in Germany. Three children preceded Mr. Siercks in death.
