T. I. C. PEMBERTON DEAD AT AGE 81

Thaddeus I. C. Pemberton, 81, died last Friday afternoon at his home in Arlington following a month’s illness.

Born in Florence, Nebraska, he was one of a large family of children, and at an early age was adopted by the late Mr. and Mrs. C. Pemberton, pioneers of Arlington. When he was 22 years of age, he went to Walla Walla, Washington where he homesteaded. He lived there until about thirty years ago when he returned to Arlington, having made his home in this county ever since.

Mr. Pemberton never was married, and his only immediate survivor is a half brother, Clark Griffith of Washington, D. C., owner of the Washington Senators ball club.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Reckmeyer Funeral chapel in Arlington, with Rev. David Simpson, Methodist minister, officiating.
