RITES HELD FOR HENRY E. MEIER

Henry E. Meier, who resided in the Vacoma neighborhood of Washington County for nearly seventy years, died at Dodge County Hospital in Fremont last Wednesday. He had been a patient there since the first of the year, an illness which followed several months of failing health.

Mr. Meier, who was 71 years old at the time of his death, was born in the Telbasta neighborhood April 28, 1871. On March 3, 1897 he was married to Miss Emma Niederkruger. The couple retired from active farm life two years ago, moving to Hooper. Mr. Meier was a member of the Bell Creek Church for many years, but had transferred his membership to Grace Lutheran Church of Hooper.
