MRS. JENS NIELSEN PASSES AWAY SATURDAY EVENING

Mrs. Jens Nielsen passed away at her home in this city Saturday evening, her death resulting from injuries sustained in a wreck when an auto in which she was riding to church collided with a train in the northwest part of the city, this wreck being the one in which Mrs. Rasmussen lost her life three weeks ago.

Since the accident, Mrs. Nielsen had been confined to her bed, but for a few days preceding her passing, had seemed slightly improved, and her death came as a shock to the community.

Clara Amelia Andersen was born near Kennard in 1882 and was therefore forty years old. She was married to Jens Nielsen of Blair a few years ago and became the mother of three children, a son now about four years of age and twin babies that lived but a short time. She was a most highly respected lady and a neighbor and friend whom it was a pleasure to know.

Besides her husband and little son, Gwyre, she leaves a stepdaughter about seven years old, her aged father and an only sister, Miss Anna Angersen, the two latter residing in Omaha.

The funeral was held from the Danish Lutheran church on Monday at one o’clock, the Revs. H. Nielsen and Peter Vig officiating, and was attended by a large concourse of sorrowing friends, and interment was made in West Lawn cemetery, Omaha, beside her mother who departed this life a number of years ago, ten auto loads of friends accompanying the remains to their last resting place.

To the grief-stricken husband, the small children, father and sister, the sincere sympathy of the entire community is extended.
