Mrs. Louis Franke, who died at her home near Grant, Neb. at the age of 51 years on Sunday, September 24 following an illness of several years’ duration with a complication of lung and liver trouble, was a resident of this community and Washington county until two years ago when the family moved west with the hope of improving her health. However the change proved to benefit her temporarily only. She was the oldest sister of W. H. Weitkamp of this community. The following from here attended the funeral which was held in Grant, Neb. on Wednesday, September 27th: Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Weitkamp, Mr. and Mrs. August Hartung, George Franke, Mrs. Anna Niederhoefer and Adam Franke.
