Victor Smith died at the Blair hospital at 10:30 Monday morning following a paralytic stroke he suffered last Thursday. The funeral is to be held at the Christian church at 2 o’clock today, Rev. W. H. Underwood officiating. Charles Van Victor Smith was born at Coon Rapids, Ia. April 27th 1873, so was just 49 years of age last April. He leaves his wife and two children, Thomas and Freddie of this city. Also four brothers, William of Henry, Neb.; Frank of Angis, Neb.; James of Coon Rapids, Ia.; and John of Carthage, Mo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Pulver of Bayard, Iowa; Mrs. Wm. McCann of Carthage, Mo.; and Mrs. Knight of California.
