5 July, 1922 - The Pilot - Louisa Hampton

The body of Mrs. Morgan Hampton was brought down from Tekamah this morning where she died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wallace Dixon, July 3rd, and the funeral was held at the home of her sister, Mrs. L. W. Delaney of this city at 1 o’clock this afternoon, Rev. Leroy Crocker officiating. Louisa Turner was born at Batstown, Ill. October 30th, 1863, and came with her parents to this county when she was but two years of age. She was married here to John Ommerman January 3rd, 1879, and six children were born to them: two sons, Sam and John Ommerman who live in Wyoming; and four daughters, Mrs. Joe Olson of Herman; Mrs. W. P. Dixon of Tekamah; Mrs. O. Burton of this city; and Mrs. Orval Sheve of Winnebago; all of whom survive her. In 1905 she was married to Morgan Hampton at Lincoln, Neb. and since 1909 they have made their home at Sterling Colo. She leaves also two brothers, Thos. and Sam Turner of Seattle, Wash. and ten grandchildren.

Mrs. Louisa Hampton died at her home in Tekamah July 3, and the body was brought to Blair on Wednesday, and the funeral services conducted by the Rev. Leroy Crocker. Louisa Hampton, nee Turner, was born at Ballstown, Ill. Oct. 30, 1863, and came to Nebraska when two years old. She was twice married, her first husband being John Ommerman. Six children were born to them: Sam and John, now living in Wyoming; Mrs. Joe Olson of Herman; Mrs. W. P. Dixon of Tekamah; Mrs. O. Burton of Blair and Mrs. Orval Shreve of Winnebago. She was a sister of Mrs. L. W. Dulaney and has two brothers, Theo. and Sam Turner of Seattle, Wash. There are also ten grandchildren. She was a resident of Washington county for a great many years.
