Rita F. Hawk, 75, of Blair, died Sept. 18, 2011.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Cemetery in Earling, Iowa.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Heafey-Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak & Cutler West Center Chapel in Omaha, with a vigil service at 7 p.m.

Rita F. Koesters was born Sept. 30, 1935, to Fred and Martha Koesters.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Donna Spychalski, and Lori and John Mullen; son and daughter-in-law, Dale "Tony" and Rhonda Kohles; former husband, Dewey Kohles; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Jody Pitsch and Julie Lipari; three stepsons, Scott, Patrick and Dan Hawk; three brothers, Al, Jerry, and Denny Koesters; three sisters, Mary Leistra, Ruth Graeve and Linda Weiland; and a host of dear friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen "Wes" Hawk, and a grandson, Robert Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to VFW Post No. 1251, Blair.
