#1-17 May, 1922 - The Pilot - Mrs. Theodore Schafersman

FONTANELLE NEWS

The remains of the late Theodore Schafersman, who died at his home north of town on Tuesday afternoon, were laid to rest in the family lot in the Lutheran cemetery near the church on Friday afternoon. An audience of sorrowing relatives and friends which filled the church to overflowing was in attendance. Rev. F. C. Schuldt paid a glowing tribute to his memory, and a selected choir furnished the vocal music. The floral tributes were unusually profuse and beautiful. The pallbearers were A. H. Strenger, August Gnuse, W. A. Anderson, Rudolph Stork, Fred Hartung and George Strenger.

#2-18 May, 1922 - The Enterprise

Funeral services for Theodore B. Schafersmann of Fontanelle, Neb., were held last Friday afternoon from his farm home two miles north of that village.

The deceased was one of the prominent farmers of that community and a lifelong resident, having been born on the farm Nov. 25, 1881, where he passed away Tuesday, May 9, after a lingering illness of nearly three years.

He leaves to mourn his passing the widow and three children, his mother, Mrs. C. A. Schafersmann of Hooper and several brothers and sisters.

Our townsman, Wm. Schafersmann, is a cousin of the deceased, and with his family, attended the funeral services at Fontanelle on last Friday afternoon.

#3- 18 May, 1922 - The Tribune - Theodore Schafersman

The funeral of the late Theodore Schafersman, who died at his home here on Tuesday following an illness of several years’ duration of Hodgkins disease, was held from the family residence and the Lutheran church on Friday afternoon. The attendance was one of the largest ever witnessed at this place an the floral tributes were profuse and beautiful. Rev. F. C. Schuldt conducted the service. The choir furnished the music and the pallbearers were: W. A. Anderson, August Gnuse, Rudolph Stork, A. H. Strenger, Fred Hartung and George Strenger. The deceased was 40 years old at the time of his death, and leaves to mourn his untimely demise a widow and three children; a mother and three sisters and two brothers, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
