Mrs. Jacob Peters died at her home near Washington, Nebr. last Wednesday, February 15th, and the funeral was held at the house Saturday afternoon, Rev. E. V. Nussbaum of Bennington officiating. Mrs. Peters had been ill for a long time with a complication of diseases that finally brought the end while she was yet in middle life. Bertha Rumple was born in Streitge, Germany October 12th, 1866, and was therefore but 55 years old last October. She came to this country with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hoffermann, and was married to Jacob Peters in Omaha February 10th, 1887. They settled on the farm near Washington that was their home until his death April 15th, 1918. Mrs. Peters is survived by four sons and two daughters: Wm. J., Chas. F., Fred A., Otto A., Mrs. W. F. Keiser and Miss Meta A. Peters, all of Washington. Mrs. Fred Hoffman is the only sister she has living. Mrs. Peters was a kind and loving mother and a staunch friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
