Mr. and Mrs. James A. Barger lost their little son, Clyde Richard, aged one year, ten months and 15 days at their home in north Blair last Saturday, February 4th. The combination of measles and pneumonia was too much for the little fellow. The funeral was conducted by Rev. J. A. Johnson at the residence on Monday afternoon. This is the fourth child Mr. and Mrs. Barger have lost in this comparatively short married life. They have left two daughters and one son.

#2-9 Feb., 1922 - The Enterprise - Clyde Richard Barger

Clyde Richard, youngest son of James A. and Eliza Barger, was born in Blair, Nebr. March 20, 1920, and died in the same city Feb. 4, 1922, aged one year, 10 months and 15 days.

Little Clyde was never sick before, but measles and pneumonia was too much for his little body to bear, so today we lay the little body away for awhile, but his pure spirit has gone to the God who gave it, and the father, mother, two sisters and one brother, many relatives are left in tears and sorrow.

“Little children little children
Who love their Redeemer
Are the jewels, precious jewels,
His loved and His own
Like the stars of the morning,
His bright crown adorning
They shall shine in their beauty
Bright gems for His crown"
