#1-1 Feb., 1922 - The Pilot - Alvin Craig Wright and 2 Feb., 1922 obituary in The Tribune

Alvin Craig Wright was born August 22, 1902, and died January 28, 1922, being 19 years, 5 months and 6 days old. He was born on a farm northwest of Irvington where he spent his entire life. He graduated from the Wranch school in 1916, and later attended the high school at Benson. For the last two years he has remained at home on the farm with his father. He died Saturday morning at St. Catherine’s hospital, Omaha, Nebr., of complications following an operation for appendicitis. He was ill just four days, being conscious up til one hour of his death. To those watching around him, his death was a beautiful example, for he realized that he was going before the Supreme Judge and was fully prepared. He is survived by his father, three sisters: Sadie, Mabel and Theresa May; and two brothers: Horton and Chauncey. He was buried in the Kennard cemetery beside his mother, who died 14 years ago. His sudden death was a shock to all who knew him. He was of a quiet, unassuming nature, yet possessing those qualities which make for a strong and noble character. He was a credit not only to his father, but to the entire community in which he lived.
