The body of a Fremont man who died on the Jon Hall property west of Fort Calhoun last Sunday was not found at the door of the residence as an earlier report indicated, but near the location where his automobile was found.

According to Jon Hall, Lucius Furstenau of Fremont apparently drove down a farm road on the Hall property, got high-centered while trying to back up, and got out and died near his car. The body was found on Monday by Don Parson, who farms the land.

Mr. Hall also indicated that Harold McGowan had flown over the area on Sunday evening, and saw a car and man below and thought that someone was stuck.

The sheriff’s office said that a search had started on Sunday for the man when he did not arrive at a destination in the DeSoto area.
