Graveside services for former Blair resident Ruby I. Jaber, 74, of Tekamah, were held Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair. Mrs. Jaber died Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Tekamah Nursing Center.

Ruby I. (Ashmore) Jaber was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Decatur to Clyde and Mildred (Hightree) Ashmore.

She married Joseph Jaber in Blair on April 5, 1958.

Mrs. Jaber worked in the kitchen department at Blair High School for 10 years, and then worked at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

She is survived by her sisters, Alice Jean, Betty, and Pauline, and brothers, William, Wayne, and Melvin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1971, and a brother, Robert.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
