DIED IN BLAIR, NEBRASKA

The announcement of the death of "Tommy" Sullivan, occurring at the home of his son-in-law, J.W. Lippincott, in this city on last Friday, the 11th. inst., caused a feeling of sorrow in the hearts of many friends, who respected him for his loyal friendship, integrity of thought and action and many virtues. He was a good friend, possessed a good heart and a rare quality of intellect. Deceased was a native of Waterford, Ireland, was married and had two sons born there subsequently coming to this country and after short residences in New Jersey, St. Louis and Omaha coming to this county and locating on land 3 1/2 miles west of Herman in 1880 where he lived until after the death of his wife, which occurred in 1904, since which time he has made his home, principally, with his children, a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Olson at Herman, another daughter, Mrs. J.W. Lippincott, at Blair, and his son, John, at south Omaha. He leaves two daughters, as above name, and four sons, John T., Thos. P. Jr., and W.J., all residents of south Omaha, and M.M., a resident of New Plymouth, Idaho, and a sister, the survivor of a family of twelve, living in Pennsylvania.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Fr. O'Driscoll at the Catholic church in this city on Monday at 10 o'clock A.M. and the remains interred by the side of his wife in the Blair cemetery.

Thos. P. Sullivan, Sr., died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.W. Lippincott, at 9:05 Friday morning of a complication of diseases and old age, having been perfectly helpless for the past three weeks. The funeral was held at the Catholic church at 10 o'clock Monday morning and interment made in the Blair cemetery by the side of his wife, who died June 10th, 1904, at the old farm 3 1/2 miles west of Herman. Deceased was born in Waterford county, Ireland, was married there and the first two boys were born there. He settled in New Jersey when he first came to this country , moving to St. Louis later, and still later to Omaha. He settled on the farm near Herman in 1880, where he lived until about nine years ago. The past year and nine months he made his home with Mrs. Lippincott. He leaves one other daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Olson, of Herman, and three sons, John T., Thos. P., Jr., and W.J., all of south Omaha, and one son, M.M., of New Plymouth, Idaho. The only surviving sister out of a family of twelve lives in Pennsylvania.
