MRS. A. H. STEFFEN GONE

Mrs. A. H. Steffen of Bennington died Thanksgiving morning in the St. Catherine hospital in Omaha. Just a few days previous her husband had passed away.

Mrs. Steffen was a native of Germany, having come to this country when a young woman. shortly after her arrival in this county, she was married to Mr. A. H. Steffen, and for a short time they made their home in Blair, but later moved to a farm down in the southern part of the county, and while living on this farm three children, all girls, were born.

In the home life Mr. and Mrs. Steffen were as nearly perfect as it is possible for two people, always congenial, blessed with all the comforts that can be found in a well ordered home and a family that was a blessing.

It has always been a great pleasure to the writer to have known these good people, and to have always profited by an intimate acquaintance with them, and it is with deep sorrow that we realize that they are no more, and that their places are forever vacant, and we truly sympathize with the family on their loss of such admirable parents.

Funeral services were held last Saturday in the German Lutheran church at Bennington at 2 p.m., and interment was made in the German cemetery near their farm home near the German hall.
