GEORGE HENRY SNELL

The body of George Henry Snell was brought to Blair last Tuesday morning from South Dakota where he passed away Sept. 17, 1922. He was born in Winstead, Connecticut over 91 years ago, and with his wife was a resident of Blair, living on east South street fifteen or twenty years years ago.

A nephew from South Dakota accompanied the body here, and the funeral cottage went directly from the train to the cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. C. Beardson of Florence attended the funeral services.

Mrs. Snell was buried in the local cemetery about four years ago. They had no children.

GEO. H. SNELL BROUGHT HERE FOR BURIAL TUESDAY

A telegram was received Monday morning by J. E. Campbell asking him to meet the train at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning to care for the body of Geo. H. Snell, who died at Madison, South Dakota.

Deceased formerly lived in Blair and was at one time connected with the Blair canning factory. He left here about fifteen years ago, and about four years ago his wife died and was buried here.

He was born in Winstead, Connecticut and was past 91 years of age. He was laid to rest by the side of his wife Tuesday morning. Rev. J. A. Johnson conducting the services.
