SAD ACCIDENT AT ARLINGTON

The community in and around Arlington was saddened on last Thursday afternoon when a young man, Harry Lamb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lamb, was drowned in the Elkhorn river, having stepped from safe footing into deep water.

The body was rescued by Walter Echtenkamp who was working nearby.

Funeral services were held last Sunday from the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Will Ramser. The services were in charge of the Leslie Downs Post No. 71 of Arlington as the deceased was a soldier of the World War, 7th division of the A.E.F. with which he went overseas. A large gathering of friends was present to pay their respects on this sad occasion.

Besides the parents, he leaves several sisters and brothers who mourn his early and untimely demise.
