Fred Kruse passed away some time Wednesday night at the Woods Updike ranch where he was living temporarily, awaiting the possession of the home he recently purchased here. Mr. Kruse has been in failing health for some time, and following the advice of his physician, he was preparing to move to town and take life easy. The only living near relative is a sister who had just visited him and was returning to her home in Oklahoma. She was found in Omaha and appraised of his death. The funeral was largely attended and was held Saturday at 3 o’clock at the M.E. church. Rev. John Poucher preached the sermon, and interment was made in the Herman cemetery beside his wife who passed away several years ago.
