ANTON WÄCHTER

Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in this city on Monday morning for Anton Wachter, an old and highly respected citizen of near Herman.

Anton Wachter was born in Switzerland eighty eight years ago, and came to Washington county from Illinois fifty years ago.

He first settled on a farm a mile south of Blair, living about a year there. The family home near Herman has been his home for 44 years.

He was twice married, his first wife passing away six years ago.

There are left to mourn his loss eight children and several stepchildren, besides other near relatives.

The children are Louis of Payette, Idaho; George of Pender; John of Lincoln; Mr. Hans Ackerman, Mrs. Wm. Kiefer of Blair; Clarence, Walter, Anna, Mrs. John Ackerman, all of Herman and Mrs. Ludwig Jensen of Blair.

Interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
