L. F. Hilsinger received word last week of the death of a brother, Webster D. Hilsinger, at his home at Valentine, Nebr. Monday, Feb. 5. He was born Feb. 29, 1848, and had he lived until the last of the month, he would have celebrated his 74th birthday. He had been in poor health for some time due to his advanced age. He moved to Valentine in 1888 when the town was but a village, and has helped in many towns to build it up. He served the city as chief of police for years, and also served as water commissioner. He leaves a wife, one son, three daughters and an only brother, L. F. Hilsinger of this place.
