#1-19 Jan., 1922 - The Enterprise - Olive Hain

The funeral of Mrs. Watson Hain, mention of whose death was made in last week’s Enterprise, was conducted from the Methodist church in this city on last Friday, Jan. 13, Rev. J. A. Johnson the pastor, had charge of the service.

Olive Jeannette Finch was born near Fort Hays, Kansas Jan. 3, 1892, and passed away in Omaha Jan. 11, 1922. She came to Nebraska with her parents when about 3 years old, living near Lincoln.

After the death of her mother, she lived with a brother in Colorado until 18 years old.

In 1916 she was married to Watson Hain, who with his daughter Dorothy, a stepdaughter of the deceased, six brothers, two sisters and many other relatives survive.

MRS. WATSON HAIN PASSED AWAY AT OMAHA HOSPITAL

Mrs. Olive Jeanette Hain, wife of Watson Hain, died at Wise Memorial hospital at 3:45 on January 11, 1922 after an illness covering several weeks. On the 9th of December she underwent an operation, but complications which could not be overcome developed, and although the best medical skill and nursing was given her, she was not strong enough to resist the ravages of the trouble.

The body was brought to Blair and the funeral will be held from the Methodist church at 2:30 on Friday, Rev. J. A. Johnson officiating.

Olive Jeanette Finch was born January 3, 1892 near Ft. Hays, Kansas, and was therefore 30 years and 8 days of age. She was married to Watson Hain on January 16, 1916 and had since resided in Washington county where she had made many friends. Her husband, two sisters and six brothers survive her.

Note:The Vig Files at the Danish American Archives has her born January 3, 1892 in Fort Hays Kansas, in 1903 her mother passing away in Lincoln Nebraska in 1903. It mentions that she was married in Joplin, Missouri to a C Finch.
