Wiese, Susan R. Wiese was born June 27, 1971, and passed away on April 12, 2020.

Susan, formerly of Blair, is survived by parents, Arnold and Cathy Wiese; brothers, Dave (Leann) and Steve (Wendy); nephews, Brandon, Brian, Collin, Colten and Owen; and many special friends.

A celebration of life will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.

Susan R. Wiese was born in Omaha Nebraska on June 27, 1971 the Lord called her home on April 12, 2020 after a long health battle.

Susan graduated from Blair High School in 1991 and lived independently in Blair for over 20 years. In 2010 she moved to Omaha and lived out her remaining years. Susan worked for a number of years at Dana College in Blair and could often be seen walking around Blair always with a smile on her face.

Susan was very involved with the Special Olympics competing for a number of years in Bocce ball, taking those skills all the way to Ireland in 2003 for the Special Olympics World Games. Susan competed in her last state games in 2010 determined to make those even with several health challenges in her way. Susan also served as Special Olympics ambassador.

In June 2008, Susan was diagnosed with breast cancer. She took that diagnosis and turned it into her special mission. For several years, walking in the Relay for Life and each year would hand write letters to family and friends to get donations. She wore the survivor badge with honor.

All that knew her will miss Susan’s smiles and hugs.

Survived by her parents Arnold and Cathy Wiese, Brothers Dave (Leann) and Steve (Wendy). Nephews Brandon, Brian, Collin, Colten and Owen, and many special friends.
