Omaha papers of Tuesday related the news of the death of Miss Alice McNeely of that city at an Omaha hospital on Aug. 13 at the age of 63 years. The McNeelys were Blair folks some 30 years ago, and lived on east Colfax street. The deceased was a teacher in our school for many years. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Maggie Bridges and a brother, Frank of Carter Lake, Omaha and a brother Sidney of Idaho. They have kept in touch with but few of their old Blair friends all these years, but many of the older people will remember them as they were among our best citizenry in those early days.
