FULLERTON MEN KILLED BY TRAIN

Union Pacific Fast Mail Train Hurls Auto and Men Over One Hundred Feet – to heed the order to "Stop, Look and Listen" the lives of A. L. Wolles, aged 55 and D. S. C. Brown, aged 50, were instantly snuffed out when the auto in which they were riding was hit by the Union Pacific fast mail train near Central City last Saturday. Both men were residents of Nance County, and were known to several Wolbach people.

A special to the World Herald from Central City gives the following account of the accident:

A. L. Wolles, 55, a retired farmer of Fullerton, Neb., and D. S. C. Brown, 50, prominent stockman of Nance county, were both instantly killed this afternoon when the automobile in which they were returning to Fullerton was struck by a Union Pacific fast mail train on the Lincoln highway crossing two miles east of Central City. The automobile was hurled 120 feet. The train was travelling 55 miles an hour, it was said. Nearly every bone in Mr. Brown's body was broken.

Mr. Wolles was at the wheel. No one saw them drive upon the crossing, but as Mr. Wolles was not familiar with a Buick car it is believed he was unable to stop the car in time. The crossing is not obscured. The two men had been at Henry Stubbe's farm where Brown was buying a calf.
