FORMER BLAIR GIRL LOSES HUSBAND

Dr. and Mrs. G. A. Langstaff left Wednesday afternoon for Winnipeg, Canada in response to a message announcing the sad news of the death of their son-in-law, William J. Long of that place.

The Enterprise mentioned in last week’s issue of the serious illness of Mr. Long, and that as a last resort he had been taken to Boston, Mass. for an operation for brain tumor.

His death occurred Tuesday morning in Boston, and his brave wife has the long journey home alone where her parents hasten to join her and her family of six children.

Mr. Long was known to a number of Blair people, having visited here on several occasions, and having been married here to Miss Louise Langstaff, only daughter of Dr. And Mrs. Langstaff, in 1904. He was considered one of the finest violinists of the northwest, and faithfully and enthusiastically kept up his music in conjunction with his business affairs almost to the end.

The children are Priscilla, 17; Jean, 15; George, 12; Paul, 6; and John and James, 2.

Friends of the family and girlhood friends of Mrs. Long join The Enterprise in extending sympathy to the sorrowing family in the loss of their loved one.
