Mildred D. Kuehn, 80, of Atlantic, passed away Tuesday night, August 15, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of 800 Chestnut Street.

The daughter of Frank L. and Emma Stone Smith, she was born May 31, 1915 in Cass County, Iowa and graduated from the Anita High School. Her marriage to Russell Kuehn took place on June 29, 1941 in Maryville, Missouri. She did office work in the printing shops for Dwight Crabtree, Earl Garside, Jim Pross, and Robert Littler until retiring in 1992. She was a member of the United Church of Christ; Cass County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, V.F.W. 3415, and Eastern Star (Golden Rule, Chapter 194).

Surviving are a sister, Opal Bishop and husband, Carl of Atlantic; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Goon and husband, Gahlon of Anita, a nephew, Larry Bishop and wife, Carole of Eldridge, Iowa; 3 nieces, Barbara Hrabak and husband, Richard of Chelsea, Iowa; Linda South and husband, Charles of Atlantic; and Lana Hiller and husband Dave of Blair, Nebraska; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Russell.
