19 Apr. 1923 - The Enterprise - Charles Hinsdale

This community was shocked Friday morning to learn of the sudden death of Charles Hinsdale sometime during Thursday night. He had been enjoying unusually good health during the past winter, but had not been quite as good as usual the past few days. He has roomed at the A. W. Barge home for the past seven years, but had taken a room at the hotel for the night. During the evening he complained to some of the roomers, and about ten o’clock Dr. Cameron was called. Later he was apparently resting and seemed to be alright. When Elmond West went to his room about six o’clock he was found and Dr. Cameron said he had been dead several hours.

Mr. Hinsdale was 76 years old last September. He was spry for one of his age and was at his work daily, acting as local agent for the Fairmont Creamery company. Roy, the only known living relative, is a son whom he had just recently told friends he had not heard from for the past two years.

The deceased was of a kind, pleasant disposition, well liked by everyone who knew him for his kindly way and the clean, honorable life which he led. He was a member of the Masonic and Eastern Star orders.
