HARRY F. JACOBS, 88

Services for Harry F. Jacobs, 88 of Fremont who died November 9, 1991 at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont were Tuesday, November 12 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Norman Pavey officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.

Hatrry F. Jacobs was born December 1, 1902 in Dannebrog. He grew up in the Dannebrog and St. Paul areas.

He served with the United States Army from 1920-31 in the 15th Infantry, serving several years in China.

He lived in St. Paul and was a deputy sheriff in Howard County until moving to Fremont in 1942. He was a press operator for the firm Valley Manufacturing Co. (now Valmont) and worked at Nebraska Crib and Silo in Fremont.

He also worked at the Nebraska Ordinance Plant at Mead and the Martin Bomber Plant in Omaha. He was a custodian at the Clarmar School in Fremont, retiring in 1972.

He lived at Snyder from 1983-86 and then moved to the Hooper Care Center. He had lived the past 1 1/2 years at A.J. Merrick Manor.

He married Irma McMillin March 21, 1932 in Elwood. She preceded him in death August 16, 1983.

He was also preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

He is survived by three sons, Eugene of Arlington, Robert of Lincoln and Kenneth of Snyder; ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
