MRS. LARS PETERSEN

Mrs. Lars Petersen was born in Moen, Denmark October 31, 1843 where she grew to womanhood and where on Oct. 25, 1867 she was married.

In May, 1880 she, with her husband, came to American, settling on a farm near Spiker where they lived until six years ago when they moved to Blair where she lived until her death which occurred Jan. 5th.

She was a mother of nine children, five of whom are still living, Mr. J. P. Petersen of Calhoun, Mrs. Mary Weber of Herman, Mrs. Emma Rogert of Herman and Mrs. Lulu Petersen and Mrs. Margaret Ziegler, both of Blair.

A short funeral service was held at the home at 1 p.m. on last Monday, and a service at the Danish Lutheran church at Orum, conducted by Rev. Rasmussen of Kennard, and interment was made in the Orum cemetery.

Besides the children already mentioned, the deceased leaves three brothers, Fred Petersen, Herman Petersen and Rasmus Petersen, all of near Spiker.
