The body of Mrs. Joseph Thompson of Burkett, Neb. arrived in Blair on Sunday, and funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. Foreman officiating. Mrs. Thompson left Blair a short time ago to live at the Soldiers’ home, her husband having passed away over a year ago.

Olive Brown was born in Nova Scotia seventy eight years ago last August, and was married to Joseph Thompson in Benton County, Iowa in 1860. Six children were born to them, all of whom are dead excepting one son, Frank, who lives in the western part of the state.

She leaves also one grandson, Merton Thompson. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
