Bonnie Beth Carter
Died on 10/26/1920

28 Oct., 1920 - The Enterprise - Bonnie Beth Carter

Bonnie Beth, older daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Carter of Oakland, died at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Burcham in this city last Tuesday, Oct. 26, at three a.m. from ptomaine poisoning.

Mrs. Carter and the two children came down last week to visit at the parental home for awhile, and the little girl seemed to be perfectly well at that time. In a few days she became seriously ill after eating candy, and two physicians were called in attendance doing all in their power to save her life, but to no avail as she did not have the strength to resist the deadly poison.

Little Bonnie was born in Blair and would have been three years of age Nov. 10, 1920. Besides her heartbroken parents and grandparents, a little sister, Mary Francis, one year old, survives and a number of relatives and friends who mourn the loss of a bright little sunbeam who had endeared herself to all by her bright and cunning ways. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. W. B. F. Robb, pastor of the Christian church, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
