The little four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jones, Ethel Irene, passed away on last Thursday morning, August 5, with the dread disease Diabetes. The parents live on a farm near Blair, and knowing the child was not well had taken her a few days before to the physician who told them of her serious condition. Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon from the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Blackstone who lives in east Blair, and interment made in the Blair cemetery. She was an only child, and leaves besides her parents and grandmother, her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jones of this city, to mourn the loss of a little child who held so much of hope and promise to them. The entire community sympathize with the family in their great sorrow.
