SARAH LOUISA COFFMAN

Sara Louisa, daughter of Samuel and Eliza Snapp, was born in Lloydsville, Ohio March 27, 1849, and died at her late residence in Calhoun, Nebraska May 3, 1920, aged 71 years, 8 months and 5 days.

She was married to Wm. A. Coffman October 13, 1874 at Indianola, Iowa. There were born to this union three children as follows: Mary, Victor and Laura. Laura died on February 26, 1905. Her husband died January 30, 1898. There are also eight grandchildren, step grandson and two great grandchildren besides nephews and nieces. One niece, Mrs. Eva Walton from Mapswich, S.D., being present at the funeral services. Mrs. Coffman reared to manhood and womanhood four grandchildren.

She became a charter member of the Naomi Chapter No. 121 Order of the Eastern Star on February 17, 1898. She was also a rommunisant of the Methodist Episcopal church, having been baptized in that faith in early life. But she was generous in her living to appreciate the services of other churches whose services she attended.

Suitable funeral services were conducted over her remains at the Presbyterian church in Calhoun, in charge of H.E. Wright, pastor of the M.E. church at Blair. Miss Ethel Mead, also of Blair, rendered two beautiful solos. The Order of the Eastern Star conducted their beautiful ritual services in the church and went as an escort to the cemetery.
