Published in Pilot on 2 March 1926

S.E. Kemp received word this morning of the death of his sister, Mrs. G. A. Erickson, at her home in Naper, Neb., last evening, following an illness of about three weeks. The body is to be brought here Friday evening and the funeral will be held at the Congregational church at 2:30 Saturday afternoon, Dr. D.E. Jenkins, of Omaha officiating. Burial will be in the Blair cemetery. Louise M. Kemp, daughter of Thos. A. and Mary E. Demp, was born near East Troy, Wis., May 28th, 1857, so was in her 69th year. She came to Blair in 1878 and taught school for a time. She was married to G.A. Erickson Sept. 2nd, 1885, and an only daughter, Vera, was born to them, now Mrs. Ed Peppel, of Naper. They moved to Boyd county some 26 years ago. Three weeks ago she suffered a breakdown from her continuous devotion and care of her mother, who was 91 years old February 15th, and who had been bedfast for the past two years. Mrs. Erickson was a member of the Congregational church and of the Rebekah lodge. She is survived by her husband and daughter, as above mentioned, her brother, S.E. Kemp, of this city, and three grandchildren.
