PAUL SPRICK PASSES SUDDENLY

Paul Sprick, who resides three miles north of Telbasta, passed away suddenly at 1:20 p.m. last Friday as the result of an attack of heart failure. He had eaten his dinner and was assisting his wife in her preparations for a trip to town when he suddenly collapsed and no efforts could revive him.

Mr. Sprick was born in Germany and came to the country forty-one years ago and a year later to this county. He was married to Miss Minnie Meirhenry in 1890 and to them four children were born three sons, Fred, Wm., and Paul, Jr.

Fred and Wm. are both married and have established homes of their own in this county and Paul, Jr. is still at home. The daughter, Mrs. Harold Smith is also in this county located about three miles east of Telbasta.

Besides the bereaved wife and the children already mentioned, the deceased has three brothers in this county, Gus of Julesburg, Colorado; Ernest of near Spiker and Herman of the New England neighborhood. Four grandchildren also survive.

It has been a great pleasure to us to have known the deceased for more than a score of years and in that time we have learned to respect him as an honest upright citizen, always conscientious in his dealing with his fellow men.

The funeral services were held last Monday afternoon at the Telbasta church with Rev. Weber of Telbasta and Rev. Wiegert of Elmwood officiating and interment was made in the Telbasta cemetery under the auspices of the Evangelical Lutheran church of which he had for years been an active and consistent member.
