J. C. ACKERMAN DIES OF STROKE

John C. Ackerman of Omaha, formerly of Herman, died in the Omaha Methodist Hospital following a stroke Friday evening. Services were held at the Miller Park Presbyterian Church in Omaha Monday afternoon, and burial was made in Forest Lawn cemetery.

Mr. Ackerman was born on a farm near Herman October 19, 1881. After his marriage to Miss Minnie Lydick of Fontanelle he continued to live in Herman and vicinity until several years ago when he took a position as manager of the Crowell Elevator and moved to Omaha. He was connected with the grain exchange until his death.

Survivors are the widow and two daughters, Mrs. Enola Meyers of Omaha and Mrs. C. C. Jarvis of Evanston, Illinois, five grandsons and a granddaughter; a brother, Louis and a sister, Mrs. Anna Hawkins of Klamath Falls, Oregon; several half brothers and sisters and a step brother, Lennie Ackerman of Herman.
