FRANZ SCHUTT, 80, BURIED JANUARY 28

Franz Schutt, 80, one of Herman’s oldest residents, passed away at the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont Saturday. Funeral services were held at 1:30 Wednesday at the Wollmer and Warne Funeral Home at Hooper and at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. E. Eckhardt officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Mr. Schutt was born July 18, 1861 in Mecklenburg, Germany, and came to the United States in July, 1884. He went directly to the Herman vicinity where he had resided for more than half a century.

Surviving are a son, Franz Schutt, Jr.; and two daughters, Emma and Louise, all at home.
