CLAIRE COZAD DIES IN OMAHA HOSPITAL

Claire E. Cozad of Florence died in the Methodist Hospital early Sunday morning, March 1, after being ill only three weeks. He was well known in the Washington community, where announcement had been made recently of his approaching marriage to Miss Evelyn Wiese.

The son of Fred and Hilda Cozad, Mr. Cozad was born at Oakland, Nebraska on February 16, 1917, and so was 25 years old at the time of his passing. Survivors include the parents; three brothers, Paul and Fred at home, Eldon of Omaha; three sisters, Darlene, Gloria and Ann Elaine, all at home; his grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Lund; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Eldon Cozad of Omaha.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Kremer Mortuary in Benson. Pallbearers were Wallace Pedersen, Edwin Neve, Russell Wiese, Wayne Dein, George Hanchue and Jack Andersen.
